Since leaving AWS in 2024, I’ve had a roundabout journey with MakeOps. Initially it was parked on the sidelines while I tried my hand at building a climate tech startup. But since June 2025, I’ve been pushing harder to learn about delivery, build relationships in the industry, and try to win some clients.
The MakeOps AWS Partner listing is finally live on the AWS Partner Finder.
Why Join the AWS Partner Network?
The reason it’s taken so long is not just because of the challenge of building and delivering with a small team - it’s that paying the partner fee is a signal of commitment that I wasn’t sure I was willing to make.
Over the last few months however, I’ve witnessed the growth of AI and the power it can bring if delivered thoughtfully. Joining the APN means MakeOps now has access to AWS technical resources, training, and co-selling opportunities that help us deliver better outcomes for our clients.
What This Means for Our Clients
Our model for now is focused on delivering cloud and AI setups for customers in the UK. As a verified AWS Partner, clients can find us directly on the AWS Partner Finder and have confidence that we meet AWS’s standards for technical proficiency and customer delivery.
I am, however, working towards the idea of launching a few products under the MakeOps brand.
I hope this is the first successful step of many towards the future.
